So this is a pretty neat game by Offscreen.

Like the title suggests, this is a countdown timer with the max time to be set at 59 mins.
I really liked the app's grafix, it suited the purpose just right. However, I would've loved the option to change the alert tone to something else.

Well, here's this great app that helps you solve that issue!

This app is a must have for all Google Voice users!

Once installed, no longer will you need to goto the Google Voice mobile website to send sms or call numbers. This app is basically a neat shortcut to achieve the utmost potential of Google Voice from one place.

Note: This app requires a data/wifi connection and obviously a Google Voice account. Also you will need to have Python 1.9.7 installed.

iMetro provides you with multiple subway maps for metro cities over the world!

I recently moved to New York City and was completely clueless about getting around this place. Thankfully for this iMetro app, I was able to navigate the subway lines.

This app compiles subway maps from metro cities all over the world such as London, NYC, Toronto, etc..
I quite like the usability as well, single click to zoom in/out and drag to pan the map.
Dislikes: No possible way to go back to chose another map. You have to quit the app and start over.

Note: Make sure to install this to the memory card, since it takes up over 15 Mb.

Alright folks, yes I agree there's no real use for this app (unless you all have a naughty imagination).

Opera Mini 5 Beta Browser- Absolutely awesome!

So I've been testing out this new Opera mini 5 beta browser for the past couple of days and it's just amazing!

Comparing it to the native Symbian browser is a waste of time because Opera beats it in all aspects. Take a look below at the features I found most useful:

1. Visualized saved bookmarks on the Home page like in Google Chrome.
2. Multi tabbed browsing, with no hindrance in performance with open tabs.
3. Uses it's own keyboard, which is so easy to use compared to the mini qwerty in symbian. In the video I am using my fingers to type and as you can see it's very fast and effective.
4. Fast scrolling and browsing.
5. I am sure there's more but I haven't probably discovered them!

Surprise surprise, yet another free app from Offscreen.

It's a pretty neat app that finally lets you make use of that stand you got with the Nokia 5800. With nice dim lights and a functional alarm option this app lets you use your phone as a night stand clock.

Heart Rate Monitor, Visualize your beats per minute!

This app created in Flash is simple yet very intriguing and effective!

Now before you get too excited about having a free pulse meter, let me explain how it works.
Find a pulse on yourself, radial/carotid/femoral etc and then each time you feel a pulse press on the screen. Make sure you do atleast 5 to 10 pulses to get a good estimate of your heart rate.

Hello all,

I truly apologize for putting you guys through Ziddu.com to download the files. It has countless horrendous popups and scripts that try to waste your time with unnecessary clicks.

So I've decided to change where I host the uploaded files from here on. The 2 that I've narrowed down to are the following:

1. Mediafire - Clean interface, no waiting time and one click downloads.
2. Uploading - Clean interface, 30 sec waiting time but for every 1000 downloads I get $20.

For the next few posts, I'll upload files to both Uploading and Mediafire. Try them both and please use the poll on the right to guide my choice.

NaviMachine, a Compass app for Nokia 5800.

Now I was seriously bummed out when I found out that the Nokia N97 had a built-in compass and the Nokia 5800 didn't.

Thankfully, some smart developer has come up with this useful app for us Nokia 5800 users.
To use, just point towards the sun and it will show you the bearings. I agree it's not the coolest of apps, but if lost in the jungles this app sure would be useful.
